How far off the windowsill should a vertical blind be? Typically vertical blinds are fitted with around a 3cm clearance at the bottom, though this can be lower. A clearance is always made though to prevent wear damaged when opening and closing the blinds. How long will vertical blinds take to install? A single vertical blind should take around 10-15 minutes to install. What are the advantages of vertical blinds?
